Water Future

William Pye
Charybdis, Seaham Hall, Sunderland. 2000

In reading the call for an iconic art work to celebrate the role of water sharing in Gosford, I was reminded of this work by William Pye.

Aren't William Pye's water sculptures beautiful. I noticed "Scyla" is for sale; would be a lovely piece for Kibble Park....it reminds me of another sculpture by Park, Byoung Uk, set among the East Gosford Mangroves in 2005, as a part of the International Symposium, Dawn Light.. Too bad this gift was vandalised within weeks and no longer exists.
